Secure a Space for Wild Seed Wellness : Online Fundraiser
05/01/2012 Updated, 04/03/2012 Original Wild Seed Wellness (WSW) offers affordable massage therapy for queer and trans people of color in Oakland. Massage therapy services at Wild Seed Wellness are sliding scale so that clients are able to afford to make healing a priority and a routine. The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month aredonation based days. In order to expand and offer more appointments, WSW is moving to the Living Room Project, an accessible healing justice practice/community space for queer and trans people of color, in West Oakland. Yay! Right now, it's necessary for WSW to raise $3500 dollars by June 2 to pay for 6 months rent. Please donate at indiegogo.com/wildseedwellnessspace

WSW at Empowering Women of Color Conference
03/03/2012 Last week WSW was at the Empowering Women of Color Conference. DOPE! So great to start off the conference bumping into an old friend from my first Creating Change conference (creatingchange.org) in Detroit in '08, Acca. Grace Lee Boggs and Angela Davis had a public conversations in front of hundreds of curious enamored revolutionaries, myself included. Next day, I listened and laughed to Andy Smith. My Ann Arbor friends got me really into her work back in Detroit. Catalina and I worked all day in the Cesar Chavez student center doing 15 minute massages. It was great to meet so many wonderful women of color! I did get to watch the Disability Justice Panel with Mia, Leah and Joyce too. As always, brilliant. Shoutouts to anyone I met there! -Ana
