I'm a white queer or trans person/straight person of color/ally to QTPOC community. Can I get a massage?

No. Wild Seed Wellness exclusively serves queer and trans people of color. We'd love you to refer your QTPOC friends as one expression of allyship.

Can I bring my partner/friend along with me to my session?

No. Due to confidentiality, space constraints and optimal working environment, others are not allowed in the treatment room during your session. Likewise, there is no waiting area. Partners and friends are welcome to drop you off, say hello and then return at the end of your session. Revolution Cafe, Mandela Marketplace and a few grassy areas are nearby if they want to wait for you there.

Do you do couples massage?

Yes! Couples massage can be arranged with at least 1 week prior notice to allow us to contact an additional therapist. Therapist will be selected from a network of queer and trans people of color therapists in the area. Please email to inquire about getting a massage with your boo.

Abdominal Massage

Abdominal massage can really improve slow digestion, constipation, bloating, gas and menstrual cramps. I'll uncover your stomach and with unscented oil massage your entire abdominal area. Then I'll work on gently moving your intestinal contents. Starting at the end of your large intestine and moving to the beginning, little by little I'll push contents towards th e colon. Imagine trying to comb a knot out of your hair. You start at the end and work your way up to the scalp. It's the same concept. Overall it's very gentle, relaxing and, because the stomach is the energetic center in so many Eastern traditions, it can improve your overall wellbeing.

Underwear vs. nude

There's no right answer. It's entirely up to you. Being fully nude allows the practitioner to do full body strokes without having to stop at the underwear. Also, underwear does run the chance of getting massage oil on it. The glutes are some of your biggest muscles and, especially if you sit a lot, it can be very beneficial to get them massaged. Glutes can be worked through the sheets or through direct skin contact. Leaving your underwear on is completely normal and fine to do. It's recommended if it makes you feel more comfortable. If you're not sure what to do, leave your underwear on. Also, remember that Thai Massage is done fully clothed.
